Really good – it is always great listening to FCS Compliance for updates as they make it into easy-to-understand chunks.
The webinar comes at a time when the FCS team has seen a significant rise in the number of agents reporting HMRC requests for evidence of AML compliance, typically at short notice. This is no surprise as the government comes under increased pressure to strengthen defences against ‘dirty money’, particularly in the property sector, following a stream of high-profile cases, including those revealed in ‘The Pandora Papers’.
It has made me look into our procedures and check we have everything that maybe asked of us.
Really informative today and I am now off to check all our policies and procedures have everything they require and set up another training session.
