- Recent instances of fines imposed on estate agency businesses
- The consequences of non-compliance, including potential fines, deal failures, and reputational damage
Remaining AML compliant can be tedious, complicated, and time-consuming, but it is essential if you want to avoid costly fines.
“All of it was helpful, but having my question answered was perfect.” – Webinar attendee
During the webinar, Malcolm broke down the intricacies of the regulations, answered questions from the audience, and drew on real-world situations to showcase the practical consequences of compliance failures.
One of the main drivers of the aforementioned fines was lapsing registration with HMRC, with many property professional complaining that reminder emails to re-register were going into their junk mail.
To combat this, FCS compliance is launching a new service, AML Protect, which will be free for everyone. Simply enter your details and when your registration is due to expire we will notify you ahead of the time by way of email first, then text if the email is not acknowledged. “Great guest speaker, delivered himself well, and the content was straightforward to understand—not as bamboozling as reading it online or in statutory policy documents.” – Webinar attendee
