FCS Compliance announced today, a partnership with letting services provider, Let Alliance, to bring anti-money laundering (AML) services to their clients.
FCS Compliance is a LonRes company and LonRes has been partnering with Let Alliance since 2018.
All sales agents and, since January this year, letting agents (dealing with property worth over €10K or currency equivalent per calendar month) are subject to the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and so, by law, must ensure their firms are AML compliant. Increasingly, banks are demanding letting agents even under this threshold have AML documentation and practices in place before they will work with them.
As a result of the partnership, clients of Let Alliance will have swift access to a comprehensive range of AML services, from the basic legal requirements – written Policies and Procedures, a firm-wide Risk Assessment and training courses – to a range of customer due diligence services and consultancy services.
