FCS Compliance launches art division with Sotheby’s former Global Compliance Director

LonRes-owned compliance firm FCS has set up an art division, teaming up with Sotheby’s former Global Compliance Director to create a “one-stop-shop service for art market businesses subject to the UK’s anti-money laundering legislation.”

New York-qualified lawyer Rena Neville is founder of Corinth Consulting, and previously spent three decades at auction house Sotheby’s, as founding Global Compliance Director. She works alongside Paula Trommel, deputy director of Corinth Consulting and ex-Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) employee.

Neville and Trommel are working with Malcolm Driscoll, AML consultant at FCS Compliance.

FCS is a major player in the London residential property market, providing anti-money laundering compliance, consultancy and training for businesses covered by the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Fund Regulations 2017 – notably estate agencies. The firm has also been offering AML services for the art market since the UK regulations came into force in January 2020 under the European Union’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive.
